All Blocks teamed up with the Stardome in Auckland to provide a LEGO Star Wars themed display for International Star Wars day, alongside the other Star Wars themed offerings from the Stardome.
A couple of our members also had the opportunity to participate in a segment on breakfast TV, promoting the event:
The event was also attended by the 501st Legion cosplay group, who patrolled the Stardome through the Saturday, and provided photo opportunities for everyone.
With an attendance of over 1,000 people over the weekend, it is safe to say that The Force was strong with this one!
Stardome has also agreed to make a donation to the charity Connect the Dots, which is based in Auckland. The charity, which has been running since 2014, uses “creativity as a tool to improve the health and well being of older people and people living with dementia, brain injury or disability in New Zealand”. Next to the fantastic work they do everyday, they now gratiously also now host our Junior Brick Club meetings.
