Rutherford Primary School 2024

8th September, 2024

All Blocks returned to Rutherford Primary School for the second time for another fundraiser. A raffle and baked goods sale was held in conjunction with our displays, for extra fundraising.

Alongside the LEGO displays from our AFOL members were some displays by some of our KFOL members – who displayed for the first time.

LEGO displays included:

  • Vintage towns sets
  • Western
  • Large train display (all by one member!)
  • Town layout
  • Vintage castle sets and castle MOC
  • Creator 3-1 vehicles
  • Speed Champions and other Creator Expert cars
  • Detailed streetscape MOC (modelled on local houses)
  • Collaborative timeline builds
  • Star Wars and Dimensions
  • Junior displays

Member’s timeline build

This show was our first opportunity to showcase our new collaborative members’ build.

The concept behind this collaboration is for members to create one build per milestone of The LEGO Group – starting from 1955 (so from when System In Play began) – on a 32×32 MILS plate.

More milestones are in the pipeline, these are just the first ‘wave’ of them.

The QR codes take people to either the LEGO History web pages, Brickset, or to other informational pages, to engage more people and add an activity whilst looking at the builds.

Student Building Competition

The school held another Student Building Competition to determine the best builders in the school!

We volunteered three of our members to be the judges of the competition.
